I just bought one myself, I'm really enjoying the little plant. But I got it right after it had finished blooming, can't wait to enjoy the blooms next year! Nice choice, and I like the mount.

They are scented. Some say its lemony. I think mine smelled like fruit loops.

What does Sedirea spell backwards?

Just ordered mine to come with the Project #4 plant! ! I can't wait to have this one here! Even though this one couldn't be the project plant, it looks like quite few of us were won over by it.

From what I have read, the theory is that the plant doesn't seem to get enough of a rest in cultivation. Hence its reported short lifespan - they just keep growing and eventually die of exhaustion.

I think it would be great to keep track of how everyone's does!

(Also looks like I'm doing some catching up on Sue and her TCs from previous projects... I ordered an Epi. pseudoepidendrum as well! I have -so far- resisted the Den. tetragonum....)

That's really interesting, Shakkai..I'll have to read more on that...I've only had mine for less than 2 months, and it's shooting out 3 new roots...

What I read when I was researching this was that in the night-time winter temperatures should drop into the 40s for at least 2 months, say Jan/Feb. Also, watering during this cold period should be reduced and fertilizing should be stopped until growth and more watering begins again in spring.

Hello!

I bought a Sedirea a few weeks ago. I saw this plant the first time in the internet by accident, when I was browsing through the internet. I fell in love immediately!!!
the flowers are so nice!!! But the one that i have bought is still small.
So it will take a bit of time untill it will get its own flowers.

Bye Agnes
