Default Platystele jungermannioides

Supposedly has the smallest orchid flower in the world, I hope to find out soon.

Pleurothallids from the genus Platystele are known to have tiny flowers. That's why they're not always popular (unless you're a die-hard Pleuro fan of course).

I'm not sure if they are actually the tiniest orchid flowers in the world, but I would imagine they could easily live up to that name.

It's cute btw. Good luck with them and do post when they bloom.

Thanks. Thats just what Ive read on numerous websites (about the smallest flower). Either way I dont really care about the flowers of orchids so much, I like them for the small foliage.

Currently i have Platystele minimiflora in bloom and hirtzii just ended its blooming period and also an Platystele that was sold to me as stenostachya, but now its ending its blooming period i highly doubt it due to its flowers.

I have been searching for Jungermannioides for a long time now, i hope to find it some day.

Wow, that is one dinky orchid!! How often do you water something so tiny?? I didn't even know they came so small. Its adorable!
