Talking Psygmorchis pusilla

While I was away on vacation my daughter emailed me this. My first attempt at growing mini orchids is a success and it looks like my Pleurothallis Sonderana is also in spike.

What a nice surprise to come home to such a bloom! I really like this orchid, and would probably own one if I have a orchidarium.

Cute plant. They bloom at 1" ... the one in the photo looks pretty "large" ... 1-1/2" maybe 2".

They grow in varied light from medium to very bright. Some friends from the Caribbean islands say these plants grow high up on bare tree branches in full sun ... near the equatorial zone. But I'd rather have plants thrive than merely survive, so I prefer cat light for them.
