Default Lepanthes manabina

My manabina bloom finally opened, and isn't it beautiful?

That is a stunning little flower. I've always wanted to try Lepanthes but have been hesitant due to tight cultural requirements.

It's a beauty!

Well, so far it looks good - my ovalis is still looking splendidly better than the manabina (I've lost count of the buds on it, though only two open at the moment, it seems different ones are open every time I look over at it), but this little guy is looking better by the minute, and that flower is STUNNING. Granted it doesn't really look like the flower of Lepanthes manabina on the Andy's Orchids site.
I may try pollinating it for a cross (I can't help meddling, I'm too much of a biologist), though beyond the actual pollinating step (and I'm not sure I'll do that right - everything is SO TINY!) I have no idea how to go about propagating. If anybody has any resources they can recommend, please let me know!

Bolero, you really ought to give them a try! I'm glad I did!

Yeah I am looking for sources of Lepanthes in Australia now. Some of them are cool growing and these will be ideal.

Thanks for the inspiration.

Well, if/when you get some, be sure to keep in touch. We can pick each others brains for cultural advice. What part of Queensland are you from? I did a semester abroad at the University of the Sunshine Coast.

Wow I can't read, totally, at all.
Or rather, I read it right, and then somehow transferred it in my head. I swear I do know the difference between QLD and Victoria. lol.
