Default Dend. pentapterum 'Nancy'

Here's one of my favorite miniatures (and favorite Dendrobiums). It is shown here in a pot that is just over an inch in diameter. It hails from New Guinea and is cool to intermediate growing, though it seems to grow very easily for me. This particular plant was awarded a Certificate of Horticultural Merit by the AOS. The color in the closeup is more accurate than the full plant photo - it is a pale green color with an orange tip to the lip.

Should have added for those interested that it belongs to section Oxyglossum which includes a number of very attractive miniatures.

Ron, that certainly looks very well grown. Such a lot of bloom for a tiny plant.

That's what's so nice, Shirley, about the Oxyglossum Dendrobiums - many of them produce lots of long lasting flowers on tiny plants and seem to be almost always in bloom.
