Haraella odorata (retrocalla) take 2
Well actually there are three "plants" mounted on one mount. The middle one had a bad time in my care within a month of receipt and the growing tip "died". It sent out 4 side growths which have since (2 years) matured and now spike. So I don't know if we have 6 plants or three on a single mount, but you get the picture. As promised in another thread here are the pics:
No idea why so many spikes other than the kinda "love" we provide our kids. Lotsa food (fertilizer), lotsa beverage (water), Lotsa sleep in the sun (t5 lights) and lotsa breeze to tan under (24/7 fans). They "love" me

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

Becca, it varies, cause at the top of the mount it's 800 FCs or so, and at bottom its 3-400 FCs or so. I get variant readings. THe mount is is not in bright light.

Mine is sitting 9" from 2 T5 lights, they measured around 750-1000 FC according to our camera and those charts.
You really should take another pic when all those buds open at once!
Can you make out the smell these have, mine is so faint I can't place it?

Hey Ross, is this a heavy feeder. I have officially lost all four of my H. odorata.

I water/feed every other day. Don't think they need more than average feed, though. I simply mist every day as with all the others. They do appreciate the high humidity. Now that I think about it, maybe it is the MSU fertilizer causing the growth and flowering

That looks great Ross and yeah I'd love to see them again when they all bloom. How big is that whole mount?

Super, Ross! I've had mine for just over a year, and it may be one of my best growers. I don't do anything special, it just likes what I do for it. I think they just respond to the good vibes we radiate.

Every other day!! If thats not more than average I hate to think what is! If that is average, then all my orchids are starving. No wonder I don't get as many blooms as other folk here do.

I really wonder how I missed this thread! They look really happy Ross. They must absolutely adore you! I nearly got one this summer , but now I'm thinking I should have... Since you feed every other day, what's the fert dosage that are you giving them? I'm curious since I'm new to mounted orchids.
