Lepanopsis Michelle - Orchid Board

My plant has a tag from:
Lynn O'Shaughnessy
even if I bought it from a grower who was disposing of all his plants because he was moving to a different country.
This is what I found out about this plant according to Lynn's webpage:

Clonal Name: Free Spirit
Award: AM/AOS of 80 points given on 2-24-2001 at the Greater Lansing Orchid Society Show.
Additional Information: An interesting notation is that on one blooming, the several inflorescences had flowers with varying degrees of color. Most of the time, the flowers are all the darker color.

* I am growing this hanging on the eastside light from my bathroom window getting warm steam whenever I take showers in the mornings and then at night...I soak it for 5 min with seaweed mix every Sunday...after 3 weeks that I got it in the mail it spiked and bloomed continuously and there's no stopping it...

Lepanthopsis floripecten X Lepanthes cochlearifolia

Made by Moises Behar, MD, in april 1991, sown in august and protocorms were reflasked in november and finally started to flower in the flask in January 1993.

From AOS bulletin november 1993 .

Glen...look at the pictures...there is several spikes and two spikes are currently in bloom(I dont have the correct camera for this miniature and the bloom is a bit blurred)...and also several spikes that finished its blooms
the flower is one centemeter or smaller I think...but it is beautiful in color, shape and texture

Bud - I should have known better, I didn't have my glasses on when I looked at the thumbnails and never did enlarge them. Now I want one even more, lol.

@ Glen: as soon as this specimen sheds its last bloom; I will prepare at least 4 rooted stems and mail it to you; thats how tight we are; you need not say anything more...I am also waiting for my digital cam that I ordered online...I just got to get a perfect picture of this baby( I am in love with its color shape and texture...its got a crystalline petal that shimmers in the sun)

Beautiful! Looks a lot like the Lepanthopsis astrophora 'Stalky' I recently purchased. Same shape, color, and sparkle. Although Michelle seems to have denser inflorescences. I like it!
