Nice.

Yeah, I'd have to agree with you phelsumatic. This species has proven itself time and time again, to be by far one of the easiest Lepanthes species to grow (ironically so because of its small size).

Please note: I didn't say it's an "easy overall orchid to grow", I said it was one of the easier species of Lepanthes to grow (there's a big difference, I don't want to have to go through this misunderstanding again).

Funny thing for me is that most of the smaller type lepanthes I am having such great success I have cuttings continuously.I cant however say the same thing for the larger type.

How large?

You mean Lepanthes chrysina and Lepanthes gargantua large? They're gigantic for Lepanthes (about 6" to 8" tall easily).

I have a Lepanthes chrysina and it's keeping up. There was significant root damage done prior to receiving the plant. However, it just put up new growths, and I made some cultural adjustments that will hopefully get this back to full glory in a few years (yeah, this is the part that sucks).

My Lepanthes wendlandiana (another of the larger ones that's roughly 6" tall), is kinda hanging around. I may have to make some adjustments, idk.

Lepanthes antilocapra is doing beautifully for me (it's one of the smaller, but not micro-mini ones).

I think it's a matter of how the root system is. No roots, or severely damaged roots = dead or dying Lepanthes (guaranteed).

Grrr...

Right after typing this, I decided to look at the roots of the Lepanthes wendlandiana and found out all the roots are gone.

F...

Well it does explain why half the plant suddenly died off one time.

Really sucks how even the slightest root damage for a Lepanthes will have such a drastic negative impact on the plant's health almost immediately.

Hopefully there's enough left in it to make a full recovery (crosses fingers).

That is the cutest little thing. Adorable.
