Default Dendrobium oligophyllum

A very pretty and extremely fragrant species. And - you can detect the scent without inhaling the entire plant.

Everybody knows that I can never choose a favorite genus of orchid but I can definitely choose one species within each genus that I absolutely love...this one is it for me

Nancy, yours looks fantastic! I never thought of putting it in a basket...mine is mounted and I have a small piece growing in an Erin pot in one of the tanks. The one that's mounted and out in the real heat is the happier chid, for sure

Thanks for sharing

Aw, Susanne, yours is cute, too! Even without flowers, this plant is very attractive, nice green shiny foliage, so clumpy.
But it seems to have a few flowers most of the time, and a whole lot of flowers the rest of the time.
Maybe some keikis will have to try out a chunk of cork.
Regards - Nancy

They are both beautiful.

Susanne, because of your previous post I had to get one. It is so tiny with hardly any roots yet and it is so full of buds already. What a bloomer!

D. oligophyllum is a fantastic species, I've not been lucky with it... I bought in sad conditions and I couldn't save it... I'd really like to try again...
Thanks for sharing such a beautiful bloom!
