Default Den. Misty Magic Pink

Here's my blooming mini Den. Misty Magic Pink. It's a hybrid Dendrobium gonzalesii (syn Dendrobium ceraula) × Dendrobium cuthbertsonii.
I've only had it since the beginning of February and when I bought it it had no blooms. Since about March it has bloomed constantly. It came in a small pot of sphagnum moss. As I am a heavy-handed waterer, mounted works best for me. It is on cork with non-compacted sphagnum around the roots. It gets watered/fertilized everyday until the water runs freely and then put back in a corner with windows facing south and west. It's not in direct west light but set back. It does get direct morning sun. They're are a number of orchids in the same space with a fan & humidifier, so humidity is kept relatively high. It's a delightful orchid and suits my amateur growing conditions.

Yes, "cuthbertsonii for the rest of us!" They bloom and charm us, and do so for those of us who don't live in San Francisco or have a dedicated wine cooler growing area! Yesssss.
