Default Psygmorchis Pusilla recover roots.

Hello. I just received one Psygmorchis Pusilla. They sent it yesterday with the roots exposed but they look completely dry. My intention was to mount it in cork. How do I get my roots back?

Welcome to the Orchid Board!

Twig epiphytes like this, and Tolumnia, have roots that normally dry completely. It is likely your plant is fine.

Hello and welcome!
I would soak it for a few hours in distilled/rain water to see if those roots turn green. If you do not have distilled water on hand, just use tap water. I have found that will usually work, as long as the roots are alive.

Even if the roots don't pass the "alive" test, they can still hydrate the plant passively Don't cut them. Mount the plant, water it daily, it will grow new roots.
