Thank you! Yes, I'm planning to go March 1. I'm sorry I missed talking to you today. I hope everyone else from OB who stops by on Sunday introduces him/herself.

I'm thinking of going tomorrow. I'll be looking forward to seeing the display. Living walls are so amazing!

This is soooo cool. Great job. The whole thing seems to be giving the orchids a good home.

This is really impressive and inspirational- do you run into pest problems or have mildew issues?

Just how heavy is 3.0 and how big is it? I am very impressed. Trying to figure out how to do something like this and where I could put it.

What is the PH that you shoot for in the composite material?

This one's pretty heavy, especially with wet branches, plants and lava rock. I estimate 150 kg or a little over 300 lbs. We lift it with a hydraulic lift cart and roll it on a special trolley we built for it. It takes two strong guys just to handle the trolley.

It rests on a full length piece of aluminum angle that is fastened to every wall stud it covers. The studs must be wood, not metal. With the bottom back edge supported, four screws hold the panel against the wall.

I get the runoff water to 7.5 without added acid before I consider the wall plant-safe. Within a couple of weeks after adding plants, the pH drops to 6.5 and stays there.

I think you should think about a step by step tutorial on the basics. I would love to see how you go about this and get any info you are willing to share on what you use. I think I figured out just where I could put one.
