He has a fine eye, it's something you either have or don't have and you, obviously, have a knack for growing. Combined you two have a wonderful retreat. I'm envious!

VERY IMPRESSIVE, Ethan. You and your partner have created a fabulous tropical paradise. By observing your thriving plant collection no one would ever guess you live in Ohio. Your greenhouse is absolutely beautiful. I love, love, love it.

Awe, thanks Junebug!

You're right, though, I think if it weren't for my little Ohio oasis I would have moved down to your neighborhood a long time ago!

Becky - you don't know me very well.

If I could take credit for building that thing I would, but let's face it...I couldn't even rub two sticks together without getting a splinter!

Although with all the problems we had with the company that built it for us, I think I would have rather endured a few splinters....

Awesome . Lovely plants all round. If I had something like that, wild horses could not tear me away.

Hi, Eric - It's 12'x20' with a peak of about 11'...still not big enough! But lets face it, for an orchid grower, a greenhouse can never be big enough!!

It's heated with an electric heater with a fan and is set on a thermostat. It does a good job of keeping it warm, but it's quite expensive...

Just had to add my 2 cents. Looks more like a nursery than a personal oasis. Great looking g/h and some really nice looking plants besides the orchids. I love the Bird of Paradise in one pic. I hope to be moving soon and will give me the opportunity to up-grade my g/h. Now a 10X11 poly to more the size of your. Living in the south my electric won't be as high as yours. Thanks for the pics. Enjoyed!

Thanks, Don - and to give you my two cents worth, if you're thinking you want a greenhouse more the size of mine, you need one even bigger! If you electric doesn't cost you that much, put the extra money into making it bigger! However, sometimes it does feel more like a nursery and a job than a personal oasis...that's the drawback of a large greenhouse...if your time is limited it can become a chore.

Thanks for the comp. on the Bird of Paradise....I brought that thing home from Florida ten years ago and this is the first year it bloomed for me! The flowers in that picture are done, but there are four more 'spikes' getting ready to bloom...it's quite happy this year!!
