The hedge is perfect and looks great ... I just remember the wicked direct west sun in the heat of the summer, hopefully the angle will be indirect. Just recently I have been able to keep my west shades open all day with indirect west sun, which was direct west. Without a doubt they look happy happy happy

I have bananas and a palm tree to break it up, so they should be fine.

I have no sense of direction, turns out it's actually a south exposure. Oops...

Very nice set-up. Won't it look great as your collection grows and when everything is flowering!

Vanilla up all those posts would be excellent - keep them within arm's reach...it's hard to pollinate what you can't reach! Sun curing and evening sweating will surely make excellent vanilla beans.

Just my 2 cents regarding vanilla...
I have mine in a large nursery pot filled with African Violet Mix and growing upwards on tree fern totems. I started with a 2 ft piece of totem and as the vine grows, we just drill out a hole in the top of the existing one and the bottom of a new piece into which a small dowel is placed. For firm support, these totems are tied onto a 6 ft pole anchored in the pot.

Everybody that sees how quickly this vine is growing comments on how amazing it is, so I'm glad I listened to my friend Linda when she gave me the cutting. The use of African Violet mix came from her...

Thanks Linda R.
