For years now, my hubby and I sit and admire our plants and say, "Next year we're buying a greenhouse"....Yeah, right!
About all that happens consistantly every year is that the collection gets larger (mind you, I have NO issue with this...hubby on the other hand....
We finally decided to take THE ONLY room in our house that gets any ANY sun and convert it into a sun room....the floor
was painted concrete (bad idea 4 years ago....bad idea today...) so we replaced that...and we replaced all the baseboards and installed crown molding and a new reversable ceiling fan....we were lucky enough to get three 10 foot x 37" bench tops from a friend (for a really great price
) and cut them down to 8 foot benches and added cut landscape timbers for the legs....the remaining peices of the benches are going to be placed in the two back corners and have small mounted plants hung from them and I think the last bench "remnant" will probably be used to house
NEW plants....(and the beat goes on
)
The room is about 165 sf, faces E/SE and when it gets colder, we have a radiant heater we can use to warm things up...
