Default Our set up The green houses

This is our greenhouses, we have two right now, with two shade houses, the third is being built at this time, with two additional shade houses...
When all is said and done in about another month we will have a total of three greenhouses, about 5,000 feet, and 4 shade houses for the Vanda's.

Does it take long to water? That's quite a large collection

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

That's what I was wondering! Might take a long time with just that spray bottle in pic #3.

Are you guys kidding....I'm sure Linda has lots of help getting all those chids watered and growing nice and healthy....I'm sure she has lots of staff and the most up to date equipment......and when the going gets tough, she pulls out the big guns to get the job done(last pic)! She even shared these with me.... I'm not sure which one is her significant other....

I love those buildings. How do you add shade in summer? Or don't you need to there?

Would love to have something like them. Thanks for sharing.

The greenhouses are cover in shade cloth, and we also have a watering system in them that mixes cemicals, and a misting system to keep the houses cool, However, John and I do the work, there is no one else, each plant is hand watered, it takes about 6 to 8 hours to water all the orchids ...We both have regular jobs, so this is where we spend our weekends and evenings.
This is the result of a visit to The New Orleans orchid show, John purchased 5 plants now we have over 5,000, and growing...
