Default Trichopilia tortilis & Paphiopedilum helenae x barbigerum

This two beauties arrived today (Cymbidium ensiflorum var. alba too, but I forgot to take a picture of it anyway, it just look like grass ★ Orchideenshop Luzerner Garten ★ the link to teh shop, in case someone is curious: I received one of the plants in the main picture, but it's over already with blooming)

The Trichopilia is very fragrant... excatly like fresh coconuts...

The Paphiopedilum has not yet been registered, have already been awarded by the swiss orchids society. It has two spikes! If it continue growing the way it is (13 shoots, 9 of them new), for next year I hope to have a great display

I have added a metric scale for Ross to show the size of the Paphiopedilum (we have already discussed on another thread about this plant )

Enjoy!

P.S.- also have Trichopilia marginata, but for this one I will have to wait until next years...

Dorothy, currently I have the Trochopilia growing under T8 lamps, Temperate to warm (depending on the weather ) and misting for 10 secs every 4 hours. Tricho marginata is in S/H since 1.5 months and doing fine so far... Tricho tortilis will not be changed to S/H until at least September (I will not be here in August to care ifthe plant does not like S/H)

However, since I am playing withthe idea of building a large vivarium, possibly both Trichopilias will end up in it... I need to do more research whether they would like it...
