Default My grow room

This is the grow room that my hubby made for me. He got tired of me having orchids all over the house. The room is 8' x 8'. He used moisture resistant drywall and painted the walls and ceiling with white bathroom paint (high gloss). I have three 400 watt HID lights; one HPS, one MH and one combination bulb. There are two fans (one on the table and one under) that run 24/7 and a big wheel type humidifier under the table that turns on whenever the humidity drops below about 55%. The temp summer time runs about 80-82f days and 68f night. In the winter it varies between 78f days and 58-60f nights. I run the lights, by timer, 16 hours summer and 12 hours winter. The light with the orange cord has since been replaced with a new one...no ugly cord hanging any more. In these pics the bench and shelves aren't completely full as I had taken a few out for the summer in the yard.

WOW!! Nice grow room, nice collection! Now, you call that not being full of orchids! OMG, where could you possibly add more plants!
Nice one!
If I had something like that, I would probably spring for an automatic misting system from MistKing or something.

Thanks. A mist system would be nice except for the fact that this is in the basement. It would add a bit too much humidity I think...especially when we really want to sell in the next couple years and move to the coutry. I already have to clean mildew from the baseboards in there a couple times a year. I can't wait to have a greenhouse.
