I think it was a great idea. Now you just have to walk down the line with a hose in your hand at watering time.
I'd leave the twine on until they were firmly secured to the wood. Why take it off, does it bother you? I'm sure they love the support it gives them.
Jkelee - What I meant in my message was: Ref: the above post. Below your sign "will work for orchids" is a line in pink that states: "pics of some of my Chids in bloom, mounts, and koi pond. Then below that you posted a link to your photobucket.com/jkelee9, which I clicked on but there was NO koi pond, only orchids. I am straight now as you gave me the direct link to your pond.
