Phalaenopsis speciosa Female
Default Phalaenopsis speciosa

Phalaenopsis speciosa has woken up for spring. Both of my speciosas have mottled green and yellow leaves, any idea what might be causing that? At least this one is blooming with 6 buds from 3 spikes, and it is putting out another.

Nice! This is one of my favorite Phalaenopsis species. As for the mottled leaves, I believe that is often seen in wild origin or first generation from the wild plants.

Try watering once with a 1 teaspoon/gallon Epsom Salts solution.
