Default New City--New Orchid Home!

I have been silent for the last three months or so. My Thai wife and I divorced on 19 December. However, I quickly met another Thai lady online, and 8 days ago I moved to Khon Kaen Thailand. We have rented a nice home in a subdivision, and we are very happy. We will marry the beginning of April.

My orchid plants have survived the trauma and stress nicely. I only took 17 plants with me out of the 40 I had, because my ex-wife kindly asked for me to leave with her the orchids that displayed so beautifully on the tree trunks.

I have attached a few pictures showing their new home. I think they are happy as four of them are in spike, with one putting out a few tiny blooms.

Well be prepared to relearn orchid lore, it seems a change of house changes how we need to grow (sometimes significantly). That is...assuming you do grow at least some indoors. Outdoors should be mostly the same

I do grow everything outdoors. Surprizingly, the weather for the two cities is virtually identical. My plants are all in a perfect growing climate (high humidity and warm/hot temperatures) all year long, and they are positioned in a great light and sun situation (dappled and shaded). I guess I am lucky. Thanks for sending your message.

Your yard reminds me of my yard in my old home country. Glad they have made it through well, best wishes to you in the future!
