Those are the saracenia flowers. They are super cool in that they are also a seed pod inside.

I have a few friends in sh getting ready for the trip to WW. The hymen. is in there already

I didn't even know they flowered! Now I'm DEFINITELY getting some next spring. I even have a natural spot for them at edge of pond... just need to plunk them in and grow forward!

Lovely onc from Dolly in dramatic lighting
this spike got attacked by all sorts of things and then we had a surprise tropical storm and 10" of rain in a weekend and so i was really thinking i was gonna lose all the flowers but i am delighted they fought through

i rescued this Den Phal a while back and it has pure white flowers (some show the slightest pink in the center) and is apparently a real show-off!! there are 5 spikes and it is poppin'

i am delightedly waiting for this MIltonopsis to develop and it is really difficult to photograph, half because it is in a busy back ground and half because it is 3 dimensional candelabra of teeny flames

Can hardly wait! Do you know which one it is? (My Miltonia regnelii is kicking into gear, Miltoniopsis does poorly for me, but some Miltonia species put on a show)
