REVISED ... OB Project Plant List
Hey everybody
I'm going over the plants you're all suggesting and most of them make me ...however... many of them are not considered Intermediate which is the most important "rule" to the project. I am weeding through all the posted plants and will create two lists in this thread...one for viable candidates and a separate listing at the bottom of this thread for any that are not Intermediate and/or any that may be too big for our project.
We need to whittle the existing list down to something manageable. I know it's hard to control the urge to want them all...believe me, I know ( ) , but we can't have 38 people discussing 100 plants...we'll be here forever and I'll be on Prozac before it's all over
If you see that I've "removed" a plant from the running but really, really, really want it discussed...let me know and we can go over the details.
Thanks for understanding and please remember, my removing some of the plants is in no way meant to upset anybody

Plants may still be suggested...INTERMEDIATE and NOT LARGE...please
As a guideline for temps, we are using Jay Phahl's site ( Internet Orchid Species Photo Encyclopedia )
If you see a plant you like, look at the information listed under the plant. If it says the plant is okay from cool-warm or hot-cold or intermediate, it might be a viable candidate for the project.
IF it says it prefers one temperature over another, it can not be part of the project.
if you have any questions, let me know:
cb977@orchidboard.com
Let's be careful with our future suggestions...nothing that is hot-warm or cold-cool will be entered.
Thanks
*Adding sizes below each plant, information from Orchidwiz.
Using the word "spike" just for convenience...should be "inflorescence"
Anything 12" tall or over is being moved to the bottom list, the others that are questionable will be discussed.
*Availability is listed below each plant, written in green.
