Default Project #4 - all buds opened!

Finaly! All Aerangis buds opened! Almost six months after the first sign of spike! It is a world record!! (of slowness). It lost two buds, but for me its OK, this is its first blooming!

Beautiful! I love the pure whiteness of the petals with the little orange nose!

Good job, mine has been dormant all winter. All my other chids are growing like *#!%, and that thing hasn't moved. I think it's dead......but green!

Khill, gixj18 and Gwen,

You could try vitamin B complex (or pure B1 vitamin - tiamine). Besides its root growing properties, B1 vitamin is useful to 'waking up' some orchids (personal experience). 'Superthrive' has B1 plus hormones, it will work too!

I use Superthrive on a lot of other things, but I had a grower tell me that it wasn't very good "long-term" for orchids. Heard anything like that?
