Asco pumulium was a project plant in the mid 2000's; there were a whole bunch of us that ordered them from Oak Hill Gardens--I believe that they extended the wholesale price to all of us on account of how many people were ordering the plant (and probably the multiple travelling companions that were ordered as well...)
I'd nominate sarcochilus for the project; Sarcochilus falcatus is readily available from Ecuagenera, small, tolerates a wide temp range & has very nice flowers...
Just my 2¢,
Adam

I certainly miss Oak Hill Gardens. I liked them when they were in Ill and came to like them all over again when the place was sold and moved.

If we want to stay with a den, I vote for den. infundibulum. Love the clean white flowers on it. Hausermanns has it for a VERY irresistible price to boot!

If we are allowed to imagine, I would love to try a soph. coccinea. I know it would inevitably end in tears and carnage for 99% of us as it is a difficult plant, but I really want to try it and want a support group when mine dies!
WHO IS WITH ME?!

I will need to look up that Dendrobium. I probably saw it while scrolling through Hausermann's list but I am not sure which one it is. Sounds interesting.

I really like the idea of Sarcochilus falcatus, who doesn't like the smell of orange blossoms?

^^
This is youngplants. Lol, so then I could join the project- can we decide on what we are doing in some years😜😂?

I just google to see how the mentioned plant looked like, never seen either of them irl.

Want both😜 But have to check the rest of the plant some more. Flowers are only bonus, look for cute/weird plants and roots aswell☺️
