Default Our Spring '08 Project, #6, starts March 2nd!

It's now SO CLOSE that it is showing up on the events list at the bottom of the Forums page!!!

Start preparing your lists...and if you can find a web page showing the plant and some information about it, bookmark the link so you can show it to us when we're discussing the project

Yippee!! Only 22 days left to wait!!

I can't remember... can we pick plants from the alliances that have been done in other projects? If not, which ones have been done? I know that this info is somewhere on the board, but I can't seem to find it!

We're going to try to avoid the ones we've already done, which are:

1. Phal (lobbii)
2. Angraecum (scottianum)
3. Paph (venustum)
4. Aerangis (rhodosticta)
5. Laelia (reginae)

That's not written in stone though...we'll see how the discussions and suggestions turn out.

Hello everybody, is it to late to enter??? I'd love to do this and not to have favorites but I have to throw a couple out there. They are both miniatures and intermediate growers so they should fit into everybody's home...

Hi Tim, Welcome to the OB. The project talks will start on the March 2nd. Around 8:00 pm EST. there should be a live chat you can bring up your suggestions then and they will be added to the list. Once the list is made there will be a poll and the winner will be choosen by vote. It takes a few weeks before one is picked. Glad to have you aboard.

PS great choices!!!

Great choices indeed!

I can hardly wait for the Spring project. . .and by that I mean, I really couldn't. lol

I am expecting two biggie orchid orders this week. One from Oak Hill Gardens and the other from Andy's. I went nuts!

And tonight I have just set up my new Juliana 4-tier growing rack. I LOVE it and highly recommend it! $59.00 + free shipping.

Are you growing with lights on this? It really looks like a great solution for lots of folks. Thanks for the tip (sorry for the hijack).

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

Shams, we usually pick species because they are the easiest for everyone worldwide to get.
