This is one of the reasons that I LOVE SVO Orchids! Fred really treats the customers first class.

As my AOS discount, Fred sent me a 4" blooming sized LC Miss Wonderful and it is fully in sheath AND he sent me a 4" blooming sized Lc. Miss Wonderful x (Lc. Tokyo Magic x Slc. Dream Cloud) 'Heart of Gold' and it is in bud!! Woot!

Score!

Plus my other TC plants are very large with lots of new growths.

Well since I ordered from SVO they have been sending me tempting email with new plants. I am a sucker for spotted catts so I bought SVO2376 - 4inch
Slc. Orchidom Leopard 'SVO' HCC/AOS x C. Mark Jones 'Lance'

I even bought 2 of them lol

One of my Miss Wonderful was doing so good... Now it decided to die off. Here what it looked like before.

Mine had a dry looking sheath when I got it. I think it is dried up too. Not sure what is up with that. It never felt like there was anything in it.

Someone mentioned once before that oftentimes a Catt will abort a first sheath only to form a new one later.

In mine you can see something inside if you look closely at the first picture I posted. Only for to watch it dry up made me sad. I felt like I was doing something wrong. I hope they are right that it will later form another one to replace the one that now dead for us both.

I hate to say this but I have this happen all the time. It almost seems like most of my Catt types have an empty sheath before they put out one that will bloom. I have not decided if it is me not watering enough or that they are not in enough light. I have just not figured it out.

Oh and sometimes it is at least 2 empty ones. I have some I am still trying to get a first bloom from.
