Here is an exciting update everyone. I emailed Fred and he said that the miss wonderfuls have been repotted into 4 inch pots and many are now in spike... All for the same price. If we select the miss wonderful I'm gunna buy one of each cross for myself to see the variance. Might take extra room but I think this is so interesting. He said all of them should bloom twice a year and all the flowers are very full. Some are larger than others.

So we have all settled on Lc. Miss wonderful then? Whats the situation for ordering? Is it all one order and then someone in charge of shipping plants or are we all purchasing individually?

We haven't settled as a group but there were two others on board. No one else has chimed in with an alternative plant that is in stock. It looks like miss wonderful might be what we are going with as long as consensus agrees.

As for the purchasing, I was planning on doing a bulk order and I would take charge of shipping from my house. As was mentioned, if anyone wants to tack on plants let me know and their personal total will be adjusted. If we hit 250 dollars we get a discount.

I wonder if he would give us a group price if we ordered individually. That way the plant doesn't have to be shipped twice and you would not have to reship everything.

Doubtfully. Plus we would each pay 20 dollar shipping.

I'm having a bit of trouble with time lately. There are a couple I would put up if I had the time but I'm ok with whatever. On the shipping thing you might look into getting a FedEx account. I ship meat during hunting season and I suggested this to one hunter as they tell me the shipping is much cheaper with an account. He came back the next day and had gotten an account over night. I have never looked into it but if you have time why not?

That may help use all out.

I live in a smaller city so fed ex doesn't come here unless delivering I can usually get very affordable rates with usps... And they seem to deliver a day earlier. I'll look at the options and go from there. Thanks for the suggestion! Ups might offer good prices for bulk shipment also. I'll check into it.

to get the 10% discount you will throw yourselves into the $30 shipping. Still, a good price for that many plants.

One question...when you divide out the shipping from Fred's and then add in the cost of shipping and materials to send to each individual participant...is there really enough of a savings for it to be worth your time to do all that shipping? It's a very generous thing to do/offer but having to take care of all of that yourself, Tim, would be a bit of a chore and could prove to be very time consuming. The max it could really save anyone is going to be, maybe $10. Maybe. Isn't the cheapest flat rate box now $12.95? If that's the case then it'll be less than a $10 savings. Just a thought.
