I am a little concerned about the fact that the 2 roots I can see suddenly seem to be dying tho. I think I may have let them dry out a little too much last week but they definitely don't look good

My roots were drying too much on the mount but seem to have greened up now that it is potted. I hope your roots will be okay. :|

Judith, your plant looks great! Lots of leaves and the spike looks nice and healthy. Hopefully the roots pull through

Because of my humidity if they dare step out of the pot, this seems to happen in time to mine as well.

If this is a humidity issue, you could set the pot in a clear plastic container to help keep the humidity around the roots. I do this with most of my orchids for the winter, when humidity is lower (I use Vanda baskets or basket pots for all of my potted orchids).

Someone asked me how much light I give this and at what temp I'm growing it much earlier in this thread and I failed to answer. I have a six month old Lab puppy and she keeps me very busy so I haven't been keeping up on replies.

I'm growing this in the same light that I am growing my Dendrobium Unicum (which seems to bloom like crazy). Southeast facing window. It sits about four feet from the window on my dining room table. This room gets so much natural light that I can and do grow cattleyas in there. Temp is just room temperature. My house fluctuates between 65 and 78 degrees.
