Default Amesiella monticola

I liked the looks of the Amesiella monticola, so I ordered one from Ray and got it last week. I decided to mount mine.

I checked on mine in the GH yesterday (will be purchasing another for the project) and it seems to be bulging as if it is ready to put out a spike or a new root. That is exciting! I grow it mounted on my wet wall and it gets daily watering. Just fertilized with a urea free bloom booster + Epsom salts + Kelp fertilizer.

It looks good!

I ordered mine from Hausermann's too and will also post pics when it shows up. I have three companions coming with mine.

I was thinking I would grow it potted, but I'm wondering if anyone has grown these in a terrarium.

I find I have difficulty getting into a routine with watering unless I have the option of daily spraying with a squirt bottle in the terrarium. Think it could take the 70-80% humidity and temps into the high 70s and low 80's in the summer?

I'm still contemplating what to get as TCs... And have TWO orders to deal with!

From Germany I'm getting the project plant, 2 TCs I really wanted, and MAYBE will add in Den cucumerinum.

From my favorite Dutch grower I'd get the Podangis, but am struggling to decide what the TCs will be. As my basket is now it's a bit expensive to get everything. The total number of orchids over both orders is 9 for now! Want to get it down to 6....

I have until the end of the week to decide, both places ship on mondays.

Good luck on making that choice
