Default My project 4 looks different

My little plant seems to look different than others. Is it possible I got the wrong variety? Here is a link to my pictures: http://www.orchidboard.com/community...95&ppuser=2142
One is when I first got the plant, the others are from today. Roots are coming out of this puppy like mad, a few leaves, but no signs of spikes. My leaves also seem thinner than others I have seen. It is currently under fluorescents, approx. 3-4 inches from the bulbs for about 16 hours a day. I soak with distilled water, with diluted food and KLN. Maybe I should try the water without the KLN? Any ideas?
Thanks a bunch!

Nope, yours looks fine. Actually extra-fine! Lotsa new roots. Did you see this link? Aerangis lueto-alba var rhodosticta - in Wardian case Look at those roots! Yours are nearly as robust. Quit worrying! When your baby is ready it will bloom and then you'll know for sure. Keep doing what you're doing.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

I agree--it looks great. The roots are wonderful. I don't have new roots that look that good on mine.

Wow! That one in the case is out of control! I had a feeling that was what mine was going to look like eventually. Thanks for the reassurance everyone. One of the things that attracts me to orchids in the first place are the wonderful aerial roots. I guess this little plant aims to please...
I may need to add another stick within a year or so. Maybe I can just stick the whole thing on some cork board and see what happens.

Your plant looks gorgeous with all of those beautiful roots! It certainly seems as though it wanted to give you what you like. You're going to have some awesome flowers when they arrive. Good growing!
