Oh, perhaps that is the problem. I tend to overwater catt type orchids, so this one I have been letting go dry as well as my other catts. I almost killed two of my catts by overdoing and now I'm paranoid. I will treat this little one differently. Maybe that's all it needs is more water...which I can do!!!! Thanks so much!

Kiki, I also water mine everyday, and when ever possible, I will put it outside to give it a few hours of full sun.

Great job with your growing. Mine is not doing much of anything. It is getting high light, but no new growths. I think, in seeing the responses that I might need to water mine more.

That little reginae looks soooo great!

OK, clearly, I am going to have to step up the light mine is receiving.

Reginae is on the move!

New pseudo bulb growth AND note the shadow in the dry papery "sheath".

Is there any chance there could POSSIBLY be a live bud in there?

Dorthy: Really? REALLY? It's not a root or a nubbin? So, what does that leave?

Give me a B, Give me a U, Give me a D! YEeeeeaaaAH TEAM!

Cowboy: This is Laelia Reginea. . .a little rock growing species.

I've had this since 10/26/2007! It has done nothing, it's been just a bump on a log all this time.

Now, all the sudden, I've got all kinds of new root growth, a new pseudo bulb growing and a SHADOW!

OMG! I am so excited. . .I've got to go lay down. . .I am getting verklimpt.

Edited to add: Scratch that! I am getting myself a cranberry martini!
