If there is nothing at the show this weekend (not sure what the chances are) I definitely would love to go in with you!!

Hi all. If everyone's happy I'll start some threads later: I have to go out to work now. So...

Criteria: get a phal flask if you can, but you can still join the project with something else.

Threads:
Join up and resources: will have list of participants and sources, and discussion of flask shares if people want. I was thinking leave it open till end of May?

Project thread proper: for discussing what you've got!

Everyone happy with that?

I got a flask yesterday evening, but it desparately needs de-flasking! It was that or plants that were tiny and going to be months... Will write more once we have a proper thread for it!

Hi All,

HBI has Phal floresensis. Not often seen species. Phal lueddemanniana shape, but all white and very waxy.
10 plants 2" leaf span. $50. Very Limited, only 2 flasks currently.

Phal violacea var murtoniana. Borneo type sib cross, strong parents threw up large fragrant simultaneous blooming 3-5 flowers.
10 plants 1" to 1.5" leaf span. $55. ON HOLD, Check back in June 2013.

HBI, Producer of Fine Orchids in Flask

Also, I have a flask of C. iricolor that I got from Mick last year. Since it arrived with all agar intact I decided to let it bake a little longer. It should be ready to de-flask in May. I wanted the plants to get a little larger. It was $30 plus shipping.

I'm going to place an order for Paraphalaenopsis denevei and laycockyi. I tried them last year and the Physan solution killed them. They apparently are very sensitive to chemical treatment upon de-flask. So I'm going to try again.

Hmmm, well I have quite a few flasks waiting to be deflasked at the moment so if I'm allowed I might just use one of them rather than buying another flask. I have a couple of paph flasks, two gramatophyllums, my dendrophyllax and another leafless one whos name alludes me at the moment. Not sure which one I should designate as being linked to this project?

Ooooo, the Paph. I haven't tried a Paph flask so I would like to learn from you. What Paph do you have?

Alright Y'all, I found an excellent flask source for Phals in the USA. Springwater Orchids (no website) but I emailed Thanh and he sent me the flask list.

He said some might be sold out but to inquire. He sells plants on ebay and has an excellent rep there. I will check vendor feedback. In the past he has been a vendor at Redlands so he must be pretty good.
