Okay, that's 6 so far...later today, I'll put this up in a new thread so maybe we can get some others to join in.

We'll use the list I previously posted and include Gwen's suggestions. If anybody else has something they'd like to throw in the ring, post it here.

It must be an intermediate growing plant and not something that will be too large as many folks have space issues.

This makes it official...we've all lost our minds!!!

According to Orchidwiz, this one is also known as
Bulbophyllum pecten-veneris

A quick search shows it available at Piping Rock Orchids and at J&L Orchids.

Temps call for 89-91 daytime and 75-76 nights with high filtered or diffused light and strong air movement.

I also found the answer to my first question about any Bulb: what does it smell like? From what I've read, the smell is very light says one person and another says it reminds them of cucumber so it doesn't sound bad

I like it

As for the bulb, I won't see 75-76 DAYS until next June let alone 89-91 during the day. LOL
Don't let me stop you, if you folks like it, go for it, I'll just wait for the March project.......

Oh Al...you know it's not as simple as that!

All the plants will put into a poll in a few days and the winner of the poll is the one!

A different part of this one is that we'll order from any vendor of our choosing...and anybody can get in on the fun, as there will be no project group discount involved.

A REQUEST, PLEASE:

any further conversation on this "Quickie Project" should take place in the new thread I've posted...let's leave the "Our Next Orchidboard Project" thread for the Springtime Project

Thank you

Cool Project 5 Suggestion

Since we are looking for a compact plant, why not consider a Paph Henryanum? They never disappoint. Paphs are easy to grow and tolerate lower indoor light conditions.

There are quite a few vendors who carry them also.

Hi Wats

Will you be joining us in this one?

If you are, I can add the Paph you suggested to the poll and if enough folks vote for it, okay
