So, someone posted on the sign up thread that they voted and are not signed up. I just wanted to let everyone know since Camille can't see who voted for what anymore. Camille did mention earlier that in the past projects someone always ends up voting wrong or ends up voting even if they were not supposed to. So we might all have to tell her what plants we voted for so she can fix it.

I was just joking around.
No paranoia on my behalf, just a case of a bad sense of humor.

Oops! Sorry, I should have been a bit more specific and clear in my comment... I was not meaning you directly it was more a general comment related to all the questions in the threads as. Of "what if...?" and "what if...?"
It is just that taking a bit of risk with the winning plant is part of the kick of the OB project.. Getting a "randomly" chosen plant that would probably get of out of a comfort zone...

I agree with Ramon. It seems at least one person who isn't signed up has voted, but that wouldn't skew the results that badly. After all, they can only add one vote to each plant they vote for and we have 41 official project participants - it would be a drop in the bucket.

Aha! Things like this happen all the time. Yup, it's very exiting to see which plant will win, whether it's a favourite or not it's still going to be really fun to participate in the project.

I'm so excited!
We have a 3-way tie for 4th so it looks like we might have 7 going to the final round (subject to vendor checking)! Woo hoo!
I'm thinking of trying a Canada order so I can get harveyanum as a TC.

NOTE: do not consider these as final results, as it is up to Camille to take the last decision on how to count the votes at the end, and how many plants go to the next poll... I am just preparing a summary now that we have reached the number of voters that have signed, as Camille is currently without access to Internet and OB...
As of today 07-MAR-2012, we have 42 members that has voted in this poll, but we have confirmation that one voter had not signed for the project...
The votes for the top 7 plants (more than 10 votes each!) are:
Sophronitis cernua - 21
Bulbophyllum lobbii - 15
Phal. cornu-cervi - 12
Paph. purpuratum - 11
Dendrobium lawesii - 11
Aerangis biloba - 10
Angraecum didieri - 10

Looks like the Soph may be out for Canada. I emailed the vendor with it available (clouds) and all they have are seedlings.
"Hi Andrew,
We don't have any larger plants of the cernua available....sorry!
All the best,
Warren

They're listed here: Orchids at Hawaiian Botanicals for $30. They have another variety as well for $25. Camille said the price limit for Canada is 25-30.

Oops sorry didn't realize HB had it. Only clouds was listed on the other thread as having it available. I will send HB a message and see what they have.
EDIT: HB got back to me, they have 6 S. cernua and 5 S. cernua var. mineira.
Thanks again for pointing them out Natalie!
