I voted but honestly don't remember a few. Let me go back and see if I can't figure out the missing couple that I voted for.

Wow, the hyperbole's really a-flyin'! I don't think we're exactly talking anarchy here... I absolutely agree that Camille is doing a great job organizing this project and that it would be very rude to undermine her efforts.

However, Janice stated her intent to join early on in the polling and it's easy enough for her to vote. What specific trouble will it cause Camille or anyone else for her to do so? Isn't it basically just a matter of adding her to the list at this point (as in clicking edit, typing '42. pasojanice-- USA' and then saving)? Or even just leaving her off the list, letting any votes she casts stand, and leaving her to choose her own level of participation in the project the same as everyone else?

And isn't having everyone PM Camille their votes going to create a heck of a lot more work for her than just using the automatically collected poll results, whether or not they're 100% accurate? It's not like this is actual politics with lasting consequences here, people...

But hey, it's you all's project, run it how you please. I generally think it's great to include people in group activities especially when it would be easy to do so (not just talking about forum stuff), but I'm certainly aware that many don't share my sentiments on such matters. Maybe I'm just a big ol' hippie!

Now I think I've wasted enough time caring about this silliness already... You all feel free to be offended by anything, everything, or (preferably) nothing I've said!

If anyone else votes, past the 42, then they need to say so and either be disqualified or added to the participant list.
And there are stats on who has voted. Camille would thus be able to use them to eliminate the disqualified voters past 41, or 42, by doing a name comparison.
Actually, there are not any stats on who voted. When Camille first posted the pole everyone could see what the results were and see who voted for what. She thought in the past projects the participants were not suppose to see these stats and tried to fix it by clicking the private pole option. She thought she could go back at the end and switch it back so she could count who voted for what but now she can't switch it back. So now she doesn't know who voted for what. It now will cause her more work to PM everyone and have them list there votes and count them that way. This is one reason it will make it more confusing if people vote that arn't sighned up. And who knows how many people will vote in the next so many days untell the pole closes.

Yeah, I can't tell what I voted for so I won't post what I think I voted on. I will just go with whatever is decided in this round.

Why not have a second pole? It's part of the fun! Anyway you never know what will happen in the end. The first couple favorites in this pole might not make it if there are not enough plants in each country for everyone to buy. Camille is going to call around when she gets back to see if the vendors have enough.

Sheesh.....All I did was read the rules which stated that yes, you could join the group after the deadline but you could NOT vote. I am fine with that. Honestly, I am!!!!! I will wait until Camille gets back from her well-deserved vacation (after she reads all this) and abide by what she decides. Janice

Janice don't worry about it. You have done nothing wrong. We are glad to have you participate. The more the merrier! Thank you for following the instructions Camille left. And hopefully you will be a voter in the second vote! This is my first project so I am just going by the rules I was given too.
