Never mind then! Thanks for pointing that out! I looked at the list but somehow I missed it. I deleted it from my post

I found this for the Canadians vendors:

Dendrobium aggregatum
is available at HawaiianBotanicals for $30

They have Isabelia virginalis but no pulchella

Bulbophyllum lobbii is available at
CloudsOrchids (different forms of it for $15 to $20)
Orchids in our Tropics has various clones blooming size for $40

Phalaenopsis cernu-cervi
Orchids in our Tropics $25

You may have to get e-mail confirmation from Orchids in Our Tropics. I ordered Miltoniopsis from them and I don't think they had 1 that was on the web site. They had some to choose from but the web was totally out of date and hasn't changed since 2 yrs ago on that page as far as I can tell. Not sure if its the same for other types, but I think it's best to e-mail for confirmation once it gets down to the nitty gritty.

This is a great project. Thank you to all making it happen. I noticed that finding plants so we Canadians can participate might be a bit of a challenge. Our prices and availability are not always the greatest. Just a thought here but once a plant is chosen why can't we all ( in North America ) buy from the same place as one bulk purchase. If the purchase is made in the U.S lots of places will do up the paperwork and ship it to Canada. From there mailing is easier and cheaper. I think in the long run we will get our plants quicker and cheaper. This scenario is probably flawed but what do you guys think ? Has anything like that been tried ?? If we're gonna do that I will order more than just the Project plant

Group order anyone

that makes sense if all the plants from the group order were going to Canada, but if most are staying within the US, then im not sure if the vendor would send the few that need to go to canada, to where they need to be. ive never investigated though, who knows, maybe they could do it!

Usually there's about 15 plants that go to poll.
I absolutely agree!!! I purposely have not bought any plants since the summer project last year.. but have already told Hubby that ok this is it; there's 'an other project' comming soon! and it goes without saying that it's the time to slip a few TC's on the wishlist in.
The expense of buying orchids is therefore 'camouflaged' as less orders per year.

I've already chosen a potential TC if my favourite should win. The funny thing though is that the TC wasn't even on my wishlist and it's only available at this particular vendor.
