#^%$#^%$#^%$#....foiled again. Are we buying them young? Doesn't near bloom size defeat the purpose? I'll get the $18 one, so I've got more $ for some other 'chids.

Susanne, I have purchased many minis from Hoosier and they have really good stuff. Mine were purchased in person, so I don't know about packing. My Dendrobium aberrans I posted about came from them.

For Aerangis, I would only be interested in mounted. It fits my regime better. I already have a tentative plan on how to handle "wet-season / dry-season" by moving between orchidarium and window box.

If I understand the meaning of near blooming size is that it takes 12 to 18 months to flower, blooming size can take up to 12 months. I guess it is a matter of how long are you willing to wait for flowers. I don't think any of the plants sent should be in spike or blooming. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Andy's is one of my favorite vendors, they supplied us in Project1

I just checked the site and they're only mounted, which is something we'd like to avoid as some members are going to grow them in pots.

If you want yours mounted, you can remove it from the pot and mount it...not as easy to do it the other way.

We're going to try for BS potted plants....and the mounted plants at Hoosier's (if that's who we go with) are only NBS

Our project plants have always been Blooming Size, I'd like to keep it that way.

Parkside should (I'll confirm this week) be BS and Hoosier gives the option of potted in BS.

I too want a mounted plant. I just do better with mounted plants. Guess I'm a little heavy on the watering. I have gotten TC's in three of the suggested places so I am already!!

Hi Dave

NBS means within 12-18 months

BS means within a year

We'll go with BS...if it takes too long to bloom, it's no fun
