Oh WOW, I just noticed that the one I got from Andy's Orchids has what looks like 3 bloom spikes forming on it! Of course, they could also be root nubbings, but I'm betting they are flower spikes!

Yippee! I just noticed that the pics I was trying to upload a few days ago are actually in my album now! So here's the project orchid and two TC's.

Ascocentrum pumilum

Cirrhopetalum andersonii (I believe it's in spike too!)

ok, I went out there and double checked the brachiata after reading your post on the possibility of spikes, Paul.
I turned to it the left, turned it to the right, held it upside down...did a lot of wishing and you know what I found???

....a big fat ZERO!

Sorry to hear that! But don't be disappointed just yet.

The information I have on bloom times state the following months: April, July, August, October, November and December. It seems a bit odd that the months are so far apart, but it would appear that they tend to gain more bloom activity as the year progresses. There is still plenty of hope and time left!

Another source said that they tend to bloom in late summer.

Got mine from Oak Hill last week. Only 5" tall. Feels like I'm at least a year behind the rest of you after seeing the plants everyone else got!

I got mine last year and I definitely am still behind yours. I think I'll up the light as mine are darker green. It kind of makes me think I don't have the same one. I'm going to have to get a ruler and my camera.
