Rhonda...ya kill me!

We try to pick a 'chid that none of us have...as the member list grows this becomes more and more difficult. It's not a definite NO but it would be pushed a little further down the list

Hi I just joined yesterday and would like to join this project. I live in San Diego Ca. I may get lucky and grow a new type of orchid, if not I will learn a lot for next time.

How 'bout this for an idea. Start with a cross (just for example, a phal) and see not which one flowers first, but which flower is the best. I'm sure there are judges on the list.

Just a thought.

I would love to take a stab at this if the orchid isn't a "super hard to grow/slow death in Oregon" type! Of course, I suppose I would have lots of support if things go astray...
It's a great excuse to buy another (few) orchids. My fiancee is getting tired of the "it followed me home thing". I can use "it's an experiment" as an excuse now.

I personally didn't think I had trouble with Dens, it's just they quit growing all of a sudden, much like Miltonias have for me. If the selection is either of these 2 I'm out 'cause it's a lost cause for me.
