LOL... I paid 55 for one of mine, a very mature phaius. I normally would not have spent that much, but back then I had the money and I was in love with it! Still love it and it was worth every penny!

I think I paid about that for my Paph Chiu Hua Dancer. Still hasn't bloomed for me, but I have only had it a few months.

Shot Andy a email or call.... He'll know the difference.

FYI... Andy doesn't carry japonicus right now..... He had somae or somai, but there different plants....

There different? IOSPE says that japonicus is synonymous with somai.

I think I might just go with Oak Hill and get a different species of Bulbo. I don't want to buy something that is different than what I thought.

Read Keiths previous replies here for the appropriate links. Also, Keith, it's awesome that you "shot" Andy. Couldn't help by sniker at that one.

I think Oak Hill has a problem with matching their photos with their plants. So far I checked 2 Bulbophyllums with IOSPE and they have both been totally different than the picture Oak Hill has. Now I'm totally confused. This is turning out harder than I thought!

Alright I ordered my japonicus and an extra bulbo. They will ship on Monday or Tuesday. I ordered Bulbophyllum caudatum instead of the Bulbophyllum ovalifolium. I couldn't find one that wasn't all stripey.
The Bulbo is an early B-Day present to myself, so far the best present!

I'M SO EXCITED. My first species plants!

Although, I have a primary hybrid of Bulbophyllum fraudulentum x burfordiense. I can't believe I haven't killed it yet! It is my first mounted orchid. Now I wish they were all mounted!
