Yeah, I had thought you were doing well with it to begin with. I was seriously considering Gastrochilus dasypogon last year, but as I'm not keeping up well with looking after the ones I have I've put off getting one. Definitely one that's on my wish list, I sort of think if I can grow this one I should be able to grow that.

I agree!!!!! Good choice Camille. dasypogon is my favorite Gastrochilus! Rosie you should get one as well seeing how great your japonicus does for you!

My dasypogon is doing really well since buying it. It didn't have many roots (probably due to the bark mix looking a bit stale), and it obviously liked the repot. I see 3 new roots growing, and a new leaf

Yes Melissa waiting to see pics! I only have 5 flowers on one spike and 3 buds on the second spike... I didn't give it as much care last year but it's got a few new roots growing now as been a bit more caring towards it
Here's a quick pic from today's bath time

That's good news Camille
mine is mounted on bark with spagh but thé roots prefer growing in the open air

Late taking a photo, but this shows my new humidity area. I think it will start growing faster now.

Looks good. I do something similar with Harella retrocalla and with Lepthanthes calodictyon.
