Well, here it is!

And now for my traveling companions:
Haraella retrocalla (in bloom!)

And Sedirea japonica

So, did I win now by showing adequate proof? LOL...
flhiker and RosieC like this.

How big is the Gastro? Sadly mine didn't come in today like I had hoped. Gonna have to wait an extra day I guess.

Sorry for being short there, for some reason I couldn't get on with my laptop, only on my phone. Hopefully things are working now. Anyway, I was wondering how big the Gastro was (mount and all), as I'm trying to figure out where the mount will go. The haraella looks awesome, but I've been hesitant to buy and of these species that are that small.

It's actually the largest of the three! The span of the plant from one leaf tip to the next (largest) is about 6 inches. The mount is 8 inches tall by 2 1/2 inches wide, very thin.

I actually have several smaller one's, and have recently begun contruction of a 12x12x18 terrarium to house them in as the one's I have require high humidity to be maintained throughout the year. The terrarium tends to remain steady thus far around 80 percent. However, I will be putting a water feature in soon and a basin of about 1 1/2 inches of water in the bottom so that should also help add to the humidity.

Some say epiphytic orchids are parasite, for living on trees.. However, I say that orchids are parasites for luring us humans to take them into our homes to feed and care for them. Much more care than they would get in the wild....
