It's a small plant (6-7 inches high), but can form nice clusters. I have one, and would consider it to be a small orchid.

I can tell you some from what i know from my own experience.

Leptotes tenuis like most leptotes is pretty forgiving plant, i dont know about U.S but in europe there are 2 places that carry it.

Capanemia micromera is said to be an easy plant, it is from brazil and appreciates bright humid environment, i have seen it listed quite often.

D.cuthbertsonii is a somewhat on the cool side growing plant, i have heard it can be forgiving in intermediate temperatures aswell, but it needs high light. A very nice and rewarding plant with flowers that last for months but it might be tricky for some people.

Den cuthbertsonii - cooler grower
Dendrochilum tenellum
Dendrobium mohlianum
Encyclia cochleata
Whew, got that done! I marked off in red the ones that aren't in Europe as far as I can tell. (so no point searching from them in the US)
The other ones are below:

Dendrochilum tenellum
IOSPE
Andy's Orchids $20
J&L Orchids $20
Nardotto e Capello 12.50€
Großräschener 18€
La Canopée A good french grower. 18€

Dendrobium mohlianum
IOSPE So so cute, I want one!
J&L Orchids $18
La Cour des Orchidées (another good french grower) 20€

Encyclia cochleata
IOSPE
J&L Orchids $18
Hausermann's starting at $10
Nardotto e Capello 12.50€
Großräschener 16€
Schwerter 13€

Howeara Lava Burst

Schwerter 13€
Nardotto e Capello 12.50€
Not sure where to look for it in the US since the main websites listed on page 1 are mainly species oriented.

Off to bed now!

I checked out all the available suggestions in Orchidwiz to see if they fit the size criteria. Some of them have the potential to get quite large, so I've highlighted those in red. I forgot to check temperature requirements while as was at it, guess I'll do that tomorrow!

Gastrochilus bellinus - leaf span up to 18"
Aerangis fastuosa- under 3"
Angraecum didieri- up to 8"
Dendrobium aberrans- 2-8"
Aerangis biloba- "relatively small"
Bulbophyllum ovalifolium leaf span 2"
Trichopilia tortilis- 12"
Laelia lundii 3-7"
Paph delenatii- leafspan 8"
Gastrochilus japonicus- Up to 3" tall
Oeoniella polystachys Up to 24", but usually shorter (don't know how much shorter)
Laelia sincorana- 3-5"
Dendrobium unicum -under 3.5"
Dendrochilum tenellum-12-16"
Dendrobium mohlianum- 20-28"
Encyclia cochleata- 10-23"

did these make it to the list?
