Default updated!

ok, here the species I would propose... all of them are available in Europe for less than 20€ (most of them for less than 15€). Unfortunatelly, I could not check availability in USA as for some reason the search machine does not want to work for me (must be a configuration thing, as it used to work all this time)

Camille (or someone else) could you please check what Orchidwiz gives as temp ranges for these species?

OK, it's taken some time, but I've updated the top list, and checked through this thread to try and check nothing has been missed , apart from Ramon's suggestions which I've only just seen If I've missed anything other than Ramon's suggestions up to this point please post them again.

I've compiled together all the temp, size and vendor information we have (also put them in alphabetic order to help me spot if I've missed anything).

At the bottom is a list that still needs some more info and I've indicated what is missing. It's late here now, and I'm out most of tommorow so unlikly to be on OB, I'll have lots of time on Sunday to spend filling in missing info and updating the list, including Ramon's suggestions and any others that come in before then.

Oh yes and Nenella did tell me about a possible European source for the Leptotes. I haven't had chance to check that out tonight so I'll do that on Sunday as well.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions, and especially Camille and Paul for helping compile the information and check temps/size for me.

Will do, that's quite a list! I'll take care of it probably sunday along with the other plants suggested the last few days. Tomorrow is supposed to be a nice, sunny and almost warm day so I'll probably be out enjoying it.

Your welcome, glad to have helped you out.
I don't know if we can use the first one though, it was one of the plants in the mystery project 2-3 years ago. But I need another one, my mom killed it while I was in the US last year.

Oh wow, what an amazing job you are all doing!! ...the trouble now is that, since I've been exploring the Euro vendors so much, I'm beginning to get a travelling companion list (thanks to Camille who put the idea in my head way back at the start of the thread) for all of them so I have an order plan regardless of which plant wins!

I searched Andy's, Orchids by Hausermann, and Oak Hill for Ramons suggestion and found the following

Phalaenopsis braceana @ AO for 30.00

Habenaria medusa @ AO for 125.00 but did have Habenaria ericmichaelii (rhodocheila pink) for 22.00

Dryadella edwallii@ AO for 20.00

Dendrobium capituliflorum @ AO for 24.00 and 28.00

No named species for Chiloschista species (yellow and green) @ AO for 18.00

WOW, with so many to chose from I don't know if I'd be able to narrow it down to just one, lol... Can we choose 5 at a time?! LOL...
