Very nice Al! Isn't it weird how the flowers open in a random order? I'm sure next bloom cycle will be better. That was my experience. Last year's wasn't so great. This year's was much better. It even blue ribboned at a show.

I think I see a new spike started on my plant. The plant itself is looking kind of stressed. I might try mounting it on a piece of cork. Maybe I just need to water it a bit more.

I find that mine likes to stay pretty moist as well. I have mine mounted on cork with some sphag and I mist it daily. I currently have a spike growing on mine and it just finished flowering on the previous spike that I accidentally chopped off.

Well, mine is getting ready to bloom. The spike is as long as it's going to get I think. Looks like there will be 11-12 blooms. The buds are just starting to emerge. Seems weird to have it bloom in the middle of summer.

Wow, it's been a long time since anyone posted here!
How are all your plants doing?
Mine is putting out two new leaves at the same time. Anyone have this happen?

I wasn't able to get mine to bloom ever since I had it and a few months ago I knocked it off the hook and the plant hit the back of a Chair and broke the crown completely off. I couldn't get myself to throw it away and continued to care for it as usual. To my amazement it has put out 3 new keiki's
