Tyler
i think its because i spoke with them over to phone and said i was interested in mounting mine, so i guess they saved me the time and mounted it for me

Looks good Keltera

You can see the rhyzome on that one even more than on mine (mounted on cork) as it seems to be heading from one side to the other rather than back and forth as mine does.

Looks like you've got a few new growths on the end which is good.

I think I would see how well the webbing holds moisture. There has been talk on OB about growing orchids on 'Epi Web' and I guess that's something like yours is on.

Cool I also talked to them over the phone to discuss why they were listing a price range for this one instead of a fixed cost. In the end I said I didn't mind paying the couple extra dollars if it meant getting the plant with a few extra pseudobulbs. My only issue is that the plant tag indicates is was last repotted in 2004. The medium doesn't look horrible, but it may create some issues when I try to unpot it.

I wonder if they just noticed the tag date on my plant and that's why they repotted them all right after.

Hi all My Miltonia has finally arrived- It's yellower than the photo shows although not as yellow as some of yours. It looks like it has just been repotted into bark.. as it lifted out when I soaked it to water -roots wise it's OK as has many new ones although not in the bark. Will see how It goes. I've put it in my west facing window.
sorry I forgot to add that the tag says Miltonia Spectabilis 'mugge' ..? anyone ever come across this one? thanks

Your Milt looks great, lots of growth

I can't find any reference to 'mugge' anywhere.

I finally ordered and received my Miltonia Spectabilis. It's mostly to one side of the basket and has 9 new growths. Another great plant from Andy's.

Looking really good Dave, not quite as yellow as some of the ones from Andy's I notice. I can see several of the new growths on the left of the pic

I've been really interested watching the new growths on mine.

They did not seem to be growing, then I noticed that when the sun shone through them there was a shadow inside, the shape of a closed leaf tip. I've watched as these shadows have moved closer and closer to the end of the new growth... I'm expecting two of them to appear as new leaves in the next day or so, others are futher back.

It's probably commonplace to you guys who have grown 'chids with pbulbs before, but I only have one other and that's never grown, so I've been getting really excited watching these shadows grow and waiting for them to appear as growing leaves, just wish they would get on with it

I'm also more relaxed about caring for mine as my first mounted 'chid. I was quite worried about it at first, but now that I've not killed it for a few weeks and can actually see that it's growing I'm really enjoying caring for it.
