Both my divisions from the original plant in bark and now mounted are also just getting very big.. no flowers. I have had them in different windows and the one with more sunshine does not look any lighter than the other one not enough light I presume? although Neo falcata, ascocendas and ascocenturm minatum flower in this light....
Anyone have any thoughts?

I'm going to try mega sun this summer. If that doesn't work, they may go to my society's auction next spring

Our old friend Sue told me that she had hers so bright it looked yellow and even quite wrinkled. It flowered that year. The previous year few years it had looked green and lush and didn't flower.

I'm going to try mine in the brightest sun I can find this year, I'll keep a close eye on it to ensure it doesn't burn but Sue reckoned it had to be really bright enough to turn it really yellow.

I'd love to go for yellow too!!!!!!!!! I need to get Hubby to build me a frame in the middle of the lawn and (I presume) have to put some shade cloth over it and plonk it out there in the next months.... (i have no trees, bushes or anything, except grass in my garden. Seeing I have 2 divisions (both as big as each other) I'll gladly try this if Hubby 'Mcgyver' is willing to help.. crossfing
What do you recommend as shade cloth? Thanks for your help

I'm afraid I'm not sure about a shade cloth Nenella. I use an old sheer curtain in my greenhouse but I have no way of measuring how much shade it actually gives.

We're not so bright here so I'm more going to be struggling to get it enough light, rather than stopping too much.

I generally use burlap/hessian as a shade cloth. Would be interested to find out if there is anything better.

UPDATE

I originally split my 2 halves in march 2010 (page16) and then ended up mounting the potted half (page 19) well ... I am shocked at how much the second half has grown!!!! here they are as they look today..
the second one mounted is on the left the originally mounted one on the right.
The second is now much bigger than the first & its p/bulbs lighter ehan the other one (leaf colour the same) and they have been in two different windows since end of summer 2011.
My gut feeling is to now put both in the same window the one which has the lighter p/bulbs.. What do you guys think?
I'd really love to get even just one bloom as a starter!

I agree, I would put them both in the brighter window which appears to correspond to the bigger plant from what I can see.

Great growth by the way, they look like massive plants!
