Not as yellow as some of the ones bought from Andy's in the USA (more yellow than now). Sue said she had to get hers back to really yellow like when it came from Andy's before it would flower again.

That's good to know, guess I'll stick mine in the south window at work! Thankfully this grower sells them potted, mounts and me just don't get along. Potted might be problematic though seeing how they grow like crazy!

I think lots of others on this project had them potted, I think they just send their growths out over the side as they get bigger.

Mine is in a south-west window in the winter. I planned to put it outside on the same facing this summer but the mount kept falling over and I had to move it out the wind and never got it sorted out to go back. The new mount should be able to hang there next year. That spot outside gets sun in the summer almost all of the day.

Very Nice Rosie!
I know exactly what you mean about the growths growing at the back of the mount and not being able to lie it flat - I have that problem which I 'resolved' with sinking the wooden mounts into pots filled with terracotta pebbles. (Leca) so they stay straight and upright and don't fall over.
As you have mentioned these grow & grow....
My news is...
I haven't had any flowers on mine either.
I have had the 2 mounts (original plant split) in a SW window all year and put one of them in a South facing window since August They also have now been put into Terrariums where they get much more humidity & I don't have to water them everyday anymore...
I'm still trying with this plant.. Been 2 years now & no sign of flowers.
In the hope that one would flower....
I havent been home much the past week I'll put them side by side to see if there is any difference.

I mounted my Milts last May (I guess I should have done it much sooner). They are actually growing--there are a couple of new growths and a lot of roots. I am going to stick them out in the brightest sun I can find and maybe they will decide to bloom this year

I really love your mounts - they are so naturalistic. What wood do you use and do you treat it at all or buy them like that? I'm not normally keen on mounts because they're generally little blocks of wood and that just doesn't appeal to me aesthetically.

Great looking mounts Joann!

Mine is also mounted. It's grown wonderfully that way and seems really happy. Still not had flowers, but as soon as it's a bit warmer outside it's going in the sunshine. Don't think it had enough last year.

Thank you.
I use Mopani wood from the fish store, it's usually got some unique shapes and it doesn't break down like other wood.

Thanks Rosie, I think you are the one that convinced me to mount the silly things.

I was thinking it might be. I haven't seen anything that size at the pet-shop unfortunately. Dag-nammit! Thank you though!
