Take a look at my picture I posted on the 1 page here, and you can see a old spike coming from the base of the bulb.

Just checked my plant and the new pseudoblub appears to have what I hope is a spike. It could be new growth, either way it a good thing. Again it's outside under my Oak tree and getting watered twice a week. I wonder if this one needs a winters rest??? So what's up with yours?

I have mine in a southern window. I'm giving it a bit of a winter rest.

Hey Dave! Thanks for reminding me to check on this plant! I have 2 of those things that you have. I think those may be spikes. Sadly I also see one that dried out and it is very dead. Probably got too hot in the window for that one. I have it inside, in the bathroom window. It is in the corner between a south and a west glass block wall. Lots of light and a bit too much intensity up until the last couple weeks. About 75 degrees all the time (except when it was getting full sun through the glass). I moved it up closer to the ceiling to cut out some of that. I need to water it more often, too. If I give it a rest, I will do it in Dec. Still summery here.

Hi Everyone,
After seeing isdaojon's gorgeous Coelogyne cristata yesterday, I decided we need to bump this thread up.
Has any one had any luck getting theirs to bloom?
I just checked on mine, thinking that it would be close to death after a severe winter rest. I started picking at what looked to be a brownish dying psuedo bulb and found a bud.Oops! I really hope I didn't hurt it.
I'm hoping to post some pictures soon.
Beverly
